Anesthesia

One cannot possibly imagine a visit to a dentist without an anesthesia. The choice of an anesthetic depends on the functional condition of the patient’s organism. Before making an injection the doctor asks the patient his anamnesis: diseases, allergies, and whether any anesthesia was made previously. Only after all of the information is gathered the medication for an anesthesia is chosen and an injection can be made.

Earlier for an anesthesia Novocaine and Lidocaine were taken as anesthetics. Nowadays Noxocaine is not used at all and Lidocaine is used only for the topical anesthesia as a spray or gel. Such medicaments as Ubisthesine (Articaine), Septanest, Mepivacaine provide total loss of sensitivity of tooth and gums during the entire procedure.
