Instruments for the tooth care are very simple- toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss.

Toothbrush has to be with rarely located bunches of bristle and a curvy surface inside. In this way, the toothbrush can easily penetrate in spaces between teeth. The toothbrush has to be medium hard and the ends of the bristles have to be rounded. The handle of the brush needs to be curvy too. The toothbrush needs to be changed every 2 month. The toothbrush is cleaned with water and soap. Some dentists recommend to cover thebrush with a thin layer of soap after each cleansing, then this cover has to be rinsed away with water before next brushing. The toothbrushes are kept opened in the glass.

In order to clean spaces between the teeth the dental flosses are used. There are different types of them- waxed, un-waxed, thick, thin, containing F etc.

Waxed floss penetrates easily in the narrow spaces between teeth, but un-waxed floss cleans them better.

Toothpastes. Most of people use the toothpaste to clean their teeth, but the tooth powder brushes better, that’s why it is good to use it at the evening.

Toothpastes containing F are the best-to-buy because F prevents form the caries development. Pastes with abrasive particles can be used only by people with strong teeth. Pastes with salts are good for pregnant and people suffering from the gum’s bleeding. Pastes with NH4 can be used by older people with caries.

Mouth rinses are used after eating in order to gain fresh breath. They also clean the oral cavity. Mouth rinses contain vitamins, herbal extracts, oils, enzymes which influence greatly the mucous membrane.

Between teeth brushing dentists recommend to use a chewing gum with Xylitol which activates the salivary glands and neutralizes the acids. It’s healthy to eat a piece of cheese after having something sweet.
